Helping Families Flourish: Emmanuel’s Story

Please enjoy Emmanuel’s story of working on Lifesong Zambia Farms, shared in his own words below—

The story I share is about what God can do

when people choose to love, serve, and invest in others. My name is Emmanuel, and my life today is the fruit of seeds that were planted many years ago.

I grew up in a family in Zambia where opportunities were few, but God opened a door through my father, who worked at Lifesong as a security guard. Because of Lifesong, my parents found work, and for the first time, my family began to experience stability and hope.

“Then, while I was still a student at a Lifesong school, I experienced support from people who cared about my future, spoke life over me, and pointed me to Jesus.”

In 2011, I gave my life to Christ, and that moment changed my destiny. In 2017, I became part of the very first graduating class of Lifesong School, a miracle for me.

But God wasn’t done.

The team at Lifesong sponsored me to undergo Mission and Discipleship Training, where I learned not just skills, but how to live out my faith and serve others.

When I returned in 2018, I began working at the Lifesong Zambia Farm. I started small, helping set up strawberry tunnels. But over time, I was entrusted with more responsibility, eventually supervising the blueberry fields. Today, I serve as a Farm Manager, leading a team and overseeing projects that feed families, create jobs, and transform lives.

“Lifesong Farms is about more than farming; it’s about growing people.”

Once, I was a young boy with limited opportunities, but God placed me in an environment where I could grow. And now, together with your support, I’m helping others flourish too.
